SPROUTING : Overwhelmed and perplexed, when they meet after a long, long time

Just for a moment,
everything is still,
that falling weathered leaf,
paused in mid-air.
That tiny insect,
crawling on my chair.

No blowing wind,
no chirping birds,
nothing is moving,
even the drops,
floating in mid-air,
like tiny pearls.

It's all silent,
it's all still,
bright shining sun,
just touched the horizon,
but its waiting,
admiring us both.

This universe is at stand still,
for a special purpose,
to witness us getting one.
A moment longed for,
a moment after a long pause,
but the perfect one.

I have nothing to say,
my eyes are damp.
It never went our way,
but here we are,
against all odds,
tired but smiling,
faintest of smiles,
trying to accept,
yes, it's no more a dream.

Want to say so much,
"I LOVE YOU" is all I could,
the rest is done by eyes,
and our hands reach for others.

We've waited so long,
waited so long for this,
for this very moment,
want to make it special,
want to make it indelible,
memorable till eternity.

The only sound,
sound of two beating hearts,
beating for each other,
but still and quiet.

Looking deep into eyes,
and breaking the stillness,
the tightest of hugs
and purest of tears.

This moment is seized,
with everything still,
everything silent,
witnessing our unification,
unification, forever.

This silence may break,
so may the stillness,
this moment will pass,
but not it's imprints.
The moment, we really lived.
We really lived, after a long pause.
